ROCKETS STRIKE Northern Israel, Beirut Hit By Israeli Airstrike!
A neighborhood in central Beirut was targeted by an Israeli drone strike on Monday, marking the second consecutive day of attacks within the Lebanese capital. According to a Lebanese security official, the strikes are part of Israel’s intensified campaign against Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group operating in Lebanon.
The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that the attack resulted in at least four fatalities and 18 injuries. Smoke was seen rising from the Zuqaq al-Blat neighborhood, a densely populated area located near central Beirut’s government district.

Shifting Targets in the Conflict
Since Israel launched a large-scale offensive against Hezbollah in late September, its strikes in the Beirut region have mainly concentrated on Hezbollah-controlled strongholds in the southern suburbs. However, Sunday’s strikes marked a significant shift, as targets within Beirut city limits were hit for the first time in over five weeks. Among the ten fatalities on Sunday was Hezbollah’s top media official, indicating that Israel may be targeting higher-profile figures within the group.
This escalation follows Israel’s earlier successes, which included the killing of Hezbollah’s leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. The conflict has now spread beyond strategic strikes, with Israeli forces launching widespread air raids across Lebanon and advancing ground operations in the southern part of the country.
Hezbollah’s Retaliation and Civilian Impact
In response, Hezbollah has ramped up rocket attacks into northern Israel. On Monday, sirens once again blared in Israeli border towns. One of the rockets struck a multi-story building in Shfaram, a town in northern Israel, killing one woman and wounding several others, according to Israeli medical authorities.
The Israeli military reported that five projectiles were launched from Lebanon on the same day, with interception efforts underway. “Interception attempts were made, and fallen projectiles were identified,” the military stated in a press release.

The human toll of this conflict continues to rise. Lebanon’s Health Ministry estimates that Israeli strikes since October 7, 2023, have claimed the lives of 3,516 people and injured 14,929, with the majority of casualties occurring after the September offensive began. These figures include both civilians and combatants, as the ministry does not distinguish between the two groups.
On the other side, Israel claims that Hezbollah’s attacks over the past year have killed approximately 100 civilians and soldiers in northern Israel, the Golan Heights, and southern Lebanon.
As tensions persist, the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah is leaving a devastating impact on both nations, with civilians on both sides bearing the brunt of the violence.
